By accessing or using Foclis (foclis.com), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
These terms apply to all users, including visitors, registered users, and paying users.
Foclis is an AI-powered platform that generates study guides from material provided by the user: YouTube videos, Wikipedia articles, PDF files, photos of books, or a simple text topic. For each source, Foclis produces a PDF study manual, flashcards, self-assessment quizzes, and an audio version.
The service is provided "as is" and may be updated, modified, or discontinued at any time without prior notice.
AI-generated content. The study materials produced by Foclis are generated by artificial intelligence systems. In line with EU transparency rules (Regulation (EU) 2024/1689, "AI Act", Art. 50), every manual is clearly marked as AI-generated, both visibly and in machine-readable metadata. AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies: it is a study aid, not a substitute for the original sources, professional advice, or independent verification. You should always check important information against reliable sources before relying on it.
You are solely responsible for the material you upload or submit to Foclis. You represent that you have the right to use such material — for example, content you own, or material whose use for personal study is permitted.
Study guides generated by Foclis are derivative works based on the material you provide, intended for your personal study. You may not resell or redistribute them as your own products.
Some features require creating an account. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.
Generating study guides works on a credit system, included in a free plan or available for purchase. Payments are securely handled by our third-party provider Stripe: Foclis does not store your card details.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
You agree not to use Foclis to:
The Foclis platform, logo, and interface design are the intellectual property of Foclis (a product of Vaivox) and may not be reproduced without permission. Foclis claims no rights over the material you provide as input.
Study guides are generated automatically and may contain inaccuracies: always verify the information before relying on it for anything important (such as an exam). The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind.
To the extent permitted by law, Foclis is not liable for errors in generated content or for any indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the service.
We may update these terms over time; changes will be posted on this page. These terms are governed by the laws of Italy, and any dispute is subject to the jurisdiction of the Italian courts.
